Winning Times
1946 - 1989
It cannot be said that Mr Frisk in his record sub nine minute National on rock hard ground is a greater National winner than say Earth Summit who slogged home in over ten minutes in desperately heavy conditions. Therefore to best compare the times of National winners since 1946 I have grouped the winners into three categories : -
(i) Firm & good to firm ground, (ii) Good ground and (iii) Good to soft ground, soft and heavy.
